Mixtape: Austin City Limits

After seeing Explosions in the Sky last weekend on Austin City Limits I was inspired to make that my theme this week. Through the magic of the internet I collected an excellent assortment of musicians from Austin City Limits performances and festivals. Hopefully there's something here for everyone to enjoy.

If anyone has an idea for a theme let me know via the comments section, or just say a little something if you feel so inclined. Have a good weekend!

01. Pride and Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble
02. Set You Free - Black Keys
03. Molly's Chambers - Kings of Leon
04. Outfit - Drive-By-Truckers
05. Guitars Cadillacs - Dwight Yoakam
06. Miles and Miles of Texas - Asleep at the Wheel
07. Hard Way To Fall - Ryan Adams
08. Helpless - Neil Young and the International Harvesters
09. Baby Now That I've Found You - Alison Kraus and Union Station
10. Favorite - Neko Case
11. One Big Holiday - My Morning Jacket
12. July, July! - The Decemberists

Both mixes are great! It would be interesting to do a take on the hidden gems of the 90's (which I've been discovering lately) or a mix of international artists to discover something new. I just bought Ingrid Michaelson's album and I love it. A more interesting Regina Spektor. Hope everything's going swimmingly!

Leanne, not a bad suggestion at all. There was a 4 disc set that came out of 80's and 90's alternative music called Left of the Dial that had a lot of bands that I wasn't familiar with. I'll think about using that as a theme in the future.
